One of the more exciting aspects of the new iPhone 7 Plus is the “portrait mode” Apple built into it. It’s not a hardware feature. Rather it is a software feature that re-creates the depth of field you’d get with a DSLR.

Don’t expect phones to replace a DSLR anytime soon.

Watch the video below for my overview. I think it’s really good but don’t expect smartphone cameras to replace DSLR cameras. That just isn’t going to happen.
